Countryside backyards are often built around a screened pool, with a strip of grass beside it that rarely gets used. That strip is often enough for a narrow putting green, and it gives the space a reason to be there.
On Island Estates and closer to the beach, yards are smaller and sandy, so we build a compact green on a firm base and tie it into the patio so it works for parties too. Since we’re next door in Safety Harbor, it’s easy for us to come out, measure and sketch a layout.

Can a putting green fit beside my pool cage?
Often, yes. A narrow, curved green with a couple of cups works well along the side or back of a screened pool.
Can you build a bocce court with the green?
Yes. We build bocce courts and turf game areas and can lay them out alongside a putting green.
